Date: Feb. 28, 2025🎉 Interested in sourdough? But don’t know where to begin? In this 1 hour beginner-level class, we will teach you the basics of caring for, using and baking with sourdough and show you just how fun and enjoyable it can truly be!
This hands-on class will cover:
You will leave the class with your own fed and active starter and your bowl with dough that will finish fermenting in your home. Once you get home, you will stretch/fold, shape and bake it using the take-home instructions I provide. Don't worry, this process is not as hard as it may seem!
What you need to bring: One medium/large size empty bowl (to mix your dough in and take home for baking) along with something to cover it with (towel, plastic wrap) We will provide the rest!
Important to note: Because this is a 1 hour class, we cannot show the entire bread making process in such a short amount of time. In this class I aim to answer all of your questions, provide instruction on mixing, feeding, baking methods, my favorite tools and much more information. Half of the process will be done at your home, but I do my best to provide as much clear instruction as possible to ensure you know how to properly bake your loaf the next day. You can always ask more questions after the class or email me. My goal is to ensure you love bread making!

PARKING: You can park on either side of our building. There is a small parking lot on the left and a large parking lot on the right (in front of Brickhouse Cafe). Please do not park in any of the tow away zones or the parking spots labeled for apartments. Thank you!
